There were seven of us from Musashino Chapel Center, English Department–the primary partner church of TMCC.

As we walked in two’s and threes’s we prayed for the future place of TMCC, more partners for TMCC, and wise planning for TMCC over the next year. After walking and praying, we gathered for some discussion and a final short time of prayer at a nearby coffee shop–and for warming up!

Our goal is to launch TMCC in early 2013, after Dale and Ann complete a year of tsunami recovery ministry in northeastern Japan.

To launch TMCC in December 2012 we will likely need $12,000 for initial rent, damage deposit, realtor fees, and moving in fees (excluding furnishings, sound/video equipment, etc.). So we are at 75% of our start up goal for facility rental. Praise the Lord!

The vision of TMCC includes ministering to the diaspora—the scattered peoples of the world. Sadiri Joy Tira, a seminar leader at the Lausanne Congress in Cape Town, South Africa (October 2010), emphasizes that every nation is affected by migration. Even Westerners are part of this diaspora. He states,

“Westerners think people who are moving or migrating are only from the two thirds world—refugees, international students, victims of calamaties, etc. But Westerners are actually the most widely scattered people.”

May TMCC become a church that intentionally ministers to the scattered peoples of the world who live in Tokyo!
